Gateway 3040GZ Laptop and some other stuff
So, the issue with the laptop is that the DC power adaptor plug got broken off in the DC port on the laptop. So as a favour, I’m fixing it. My first plan was to remove the dc port and just remove the broken plug. Sadly that didn’t work. So, a quick google search found…
Testing HTPC
Instead of waiting for the DVD drive to show up, which according to Purolator, it left Vancouver on the 19th of May and still isn’t here yet. I gave up on that and am installing Ubuntu 11.04 from USB to the PC. I started with a live boot, then just decieded to install it anyways….
Again with the updates
So I am still waiting on the DVD drive 🙁 Purolator can’t even find it right now. I think their site might be down for maintenance or something. I am yet to even fire up the htpc yet. I might do that tomorrow just to make sure it posts then fill in my rebate forms……
So some updates
Truck tailgate got buffed out yesterday by my buddy. Looks very good. We might get away with it and a touch up pen. More to follow on that. Installing Mac OS X 10.6 on the Mac Mini again. I need to find something to do with it. It just gets new OS installed on it…
